Chapter 1
This story is about a young man from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh state of India named Vivek. He was a well-built person and did not believe in any such paranormal activities. He had a frightening real-life experience with an event that was chilling as well as scary.
He had just completed his graduation in accountancy and was preparing for competitive exams. One day got a job offer in Sehore about 40 kilometres from Bhopal. The job was for an accountant in an NGO. So he took up the job thinking that, he will gain some practical experience in accounting to pursue with his competitive exam preparations.
He had taken up the job, and his office was in a rented part of a large building. He also got a room for his stay that had a kitchen and an attached bath at a cheap rate in the same building.
In the morning the building was full of working people, but during the night there was hardly anyone around. Few weeks had passed after Vivek had joined his new job, he was happy that his office was just at the end of a hallway from his room and he did not have to spend time in travelling to his office.
Chapter 2
One day he had cooked his dinner and after having his dinner went to sleep. Suddenly he heard some noises coming from his kitchen. At first, he thought of some cat might have slipped into the kitchen and was making noises, so he decided to ignore.
He had barely slept he heard the sound of chewing of food. He decided to have a look. He went inside the kitchen but found nothing. He observed that all the utensils and food items were lying all over the floor.
Vivek was a person who used to keep his room clean. He saw that window to the kitchen was closed, and there was no cat around. There has been something which had messed up his kitchen. He cleaned his kitchen and went to sleep. Next day he had his dinner early and decided to concentrate on his studies.
It was about 1 AM when he suddenly heard the sound of a girl crying from his kitchen. He went inside the kitchen and switched on the lights but found nothing and the sound also disappeared.
A few days later he was again studying at night after the dinner and again heard the same sound of a girl crying. But this time it was coming from outside his room. He took a torch and opened the door of his room. He saw a girl sitting at the end of the hallway and crying.
There was no one around so he decided to approach the girl. He approached the girl and was standing a few meters away from her and asked her as to why she was crying and where did she stay. There was no response from her.
Chapter 3
Vivek repeated his question still standing there, he could see her amongst the light of the torch reaching the end of the hallway. Suddenly the crying stopped and the girl angrily looked at him.
Her face was scary, her nose was bleeding and her eyes red, she said in a harsh voice, “Would you like to come with me, I am waiting for you”. He observed that her mouth was too wide. Vivek immediately retaliated back to his room and locked his door. He was very frightened and scared.
He could not sleep that night and the girl’s scary face was going through his minds. The next morning, he went to a tea shop nearby and narrated the whole incident. The tea stall owner told him that no one wanted to live at the room Vivek had rented. This was the reason behind the room being rented at such a low price.
The tea stall owner told Vivek, that a few years ago a girl aged about 19 years used to live along with her parents in the same room. She committed suicide at the same very room as she was not allowed to marry the person she loved.
From that day onwards no one stayed at that rented room. After hearing all this and the incident that happened with him last night Vivek decided to move to a populated locality.
But as his office was at the end of the same hallway, he used to go to his office and every time remembered about the incident that he had witnessed when he used to live in the building.
